Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

This policy explains what happens to the text you paste into TextCleaner and what data we collect. We've tried to keep it plain.

Short version: Basic cleaning happens in your browser. The optional AI rephrase and AI-detection check send your text to our processing service to do their work. We don't create accounts, and we don't sell your data.

What runs locally vs. what is sent to our service

The character cleaning, spacing fixes, quote fixes and word tidying run entirely in your browser — that text does not leave your device for those steps.

When you use the AI humanizer (rephrase) or the Check for AI feature, the relevant text is sent over an encrypted connection to our processing service so it can be rephrased or scored. That text is used to produce your result and is not stored for training. We do not retain it beyond what is needed to return your result.

Analytics & cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage (for example, how many people visit and which pages are popular). This uses cookies. These do not identify you personally.

History stored in your browser

If you use the history feature, your recent inputs and results are saved in your own browser's local storage on your device. This data is not sent to us. You can delete any entry, or clear it all, from the history panel at any time.
